Easter is the one of the most important annual religious feast in the Christian. One of the favorite activity in Easter we can't afford to miss is of course-egg decoration. However, once you have lay the painting on the egg, there's no turning back. Thanks to this little funny app created by bbonz, your Easter will full of color.

It allows you to decorate your own virtual egg with a lot of add-ons and freehand drawing. So you won't end up wasting lots of eggs with no satisfactory results.

USE
After launching the app, you'll see a "normal" egg. Then expand your imagination and show off your creativity!

Menu
The first menu page shows the tool you'll need. From left:

quit
reset everything
about
colors (here you can select freehand color and thickness)
freehand drawing (when selected, other menu items are disabled)
reset freehand drawing
Inside the tray there are a lot of graphic items: slide the tray with arrows to see and use them

There are a lot of items you can use:

ears
wings

You can use them combined with freehand drawings, or alone, or you can decide to use only freehand: everything is up to you.

Jailbreaking Windows Phone 7 Series

We have Jailbreak for iPhone, rooting for Android and it seems that Windows Phone 7 Series has also joined the party of "unlocking". Of course this means unlocking the WP7S emulator as the OS is still not available in tha market. When the first release of the specs of WP7S, it's predicted to have this day coming but didn't expect to be so fast. Even faster than the official release of the OS itself.

By unlocking WP7S, it reveals more of the preproduction OS Microsoft trying to hide from us. Users can have lot more feature to play with. That is-file explorer, task manager and so on. Anyhow, this ROM is still in a very early work and by unlocking this emulator doesn't mean we can do the same in the final product. At the mean time, just have fun with it.

Taking advantage of the build-in compass of the HD2, 6Fg8 from XDA-Developers, the creator of PowerRadio has created an app that turn your HD2 to a metal detector. Using the concept of the earth's magnetic field, this app can detect and calculate the deviation from magnetic north and hence detect the presence of metal.

Current status of this app:
All gauges are fully functional. Clicking sound and vibration working too. You may turn them on/off using the corresponding buttons on the left.
To exit the app, use the lower right button.

The camera button has a new meaning as of v0.2.0.0:
It enables a test mode, where sensor readings are simulated. Use the sliders to advance the main/aux gauges

Instruction:

Before starting this app, place your device flat on a surface and then run the app. The gauge should show zero and if it doesnt, take your device and write a couple of "eights" in the air (this is to get rid of magnetism which might get stuck in the sensors). Then use a pair of scissor or something the like and move it slowly to the right side of your device. At a distance of approx. 5 cm. the gauge should start to move. Take your device and move it with its right side near metals and see if the gauge shows values.

PVD or Personal Video Database is the very best program to organize your movies or to catalogue your video collection. MobilePVD v2.0 is a Windows Phone version of PVD created by Obelix_A from xda-developer. Now you can arrange your movie collection in a well-organized order and sort it out fast and easy

How it works
First of all, you have to get PVD and enter your movies. After that, make a XML export. This writes a file containing the movie information and a directory containing the pictures. Take both and copy them onto your device. It is recommended to copy them onto the SD card in a sub directory PVD.

Download mobilePVD and install it on your device. When starting, you will have to select the XML file by clicking Menu->Open DB. You can also select other languages and other skins (if someone makes them ).

When going to a sublist in mobilePVD (i.e. viewing the movie details or selecting directories) and you want to get back, just slide with your finger over the list from left to right...

VIO is a Windows Phone app based on motion detection. By using phone's camera, it can capture and detect any motion. It's based on the comparison by analyzing pictures square by square. By adjusting and defining the size of the square, you can adapt the sensitivity as you like. Of course the smaller the square is, its sensitivity is higer.

If you like black theme then you will love this titanium theme created by gchris from xda-developer.

From top to bottom the plugin that the developer has used:

System Panel ( Credits to dgaud007 ). Modified by the developer, to show Mbytes instead of percentages(%), also replaced sdc status with battery life + some other modifications.
CClock (Credits to Microsoft :blink: ). Modified by the developer, to look like "hero clock", Wifi status added, new alarm display
CHeroClock ( Credits to chriscsh ). Modified by the developer, completely removed the clock feature, no scripts running at the background(no mem or cpu usage) + some other modifications.
CAppointments ( Credits to Microsoft ). Modified by the developer.
CManilaMenu (Credits to kane159 ). Few small modifications by the developer.
JMLLauncher (Credits to JMHL ). The developer uses this as his fav contact launcher but it can do a lot more. Modified by the developer for bigger icons + a few other adjustments to fit my needs.
Notifications ( Credits to larbke666 & megapinky ). New icons + other modifications.

Some hints and tips for the plugins(FAQ):

System plugin. It links to task manager & file explorer when you press the pages. You can change to your preference with chome editor (or just edit registry).
Cclock plugin. The developer used that instead of some other fancy plugin mainly because you can make it link to samsung clock when you press it and still get the alarm icon when you set the alarm. Also memory usage is low.

In order to make it link to samsung alarm (or any alarmapp) when you press it, you need to change this in registry:
HKLM/software/microsoft/shell/rai/msclock. Replace the clock.exe with
"\windows\tclock.exe" on string 1

Weather plugin (chero clock). It will auto update everytime you connect to the internet. Delete auto_update_ weather.lnk from startup folder if you want to update manually. After you set your location, some times the icon folder gets reseted and you get some red X's instead of weather icons. You will have to set it again, go option->weather settings->icon , expand the CHeroClock folder, select the HTC folder and press ok. Also, if you press "reload" it will refresh whole titanium, this means that you don't have to soft reset or disable-enable titanium if you change something in the cpr or if something is buged.
Calendar plugin. You can make it link to sumsung calendar instead of windows. Same way as clock. Change this

HKLM/software/microsoft/shell/rai/MSCALENDAR
You need to replace: :MSPOUTLOOK calendar with:
"\windows\tcalendar.exe" /next
P.S. With "\windows\tcalendar.exe" /next it takes you to the current day.
With "\windows\tcalendar.exe" /all it takes you to your next appointment.
With "\windows\tcalendar.exe" /new it takes you to the appointment creation screen
Choose one...

Apps plugin (Cmanilamenu) You will have to find icons for your fav. shortcuts. You can try the ones the developer used : Icons.rar
Notifications Plugin. If you get X instead of the email icon try this

Installation:
1) Disable Titanium.
2) Install SDKCerts.cab (included in rar)
3) Install "gchrisTitanium V1.3.1cab" to device memory!
4) Soft reset.
5) Enable Titanium.

Un-installation:
1) Disable Titanium.

Today i have upgraded my Windows XP to Windows 7. So thought of sharing some of my personal thought of Windows 7.

Windows 7 is the latest version of Microsoft Windows released on July 22, 2009 for use on PC, laptops, netbooks and etc. Unlike the previous version-Windows Vista, no doubt, Windows 7 is more focused to the Windows line and have a better compatible applications and hardware. Having won the Popular Science of their annual Best Of What’s New for 2009, Windows 7 is the first ever operating system from Microsoft that are created largely by keeping in mind of user feedback.

Other than having a better and faster performance, the other most popular feature of this version is-eye candy!
If you are one of those who are still thinking to upgrade or buy Windows 7, then definitely you should have a look on some of these official windows 7 themes.

Whether you notice it or not, share photos online and files sharing are a popular online culture nowadays. One likes to share what they think is useful or or maybe something worth sharing with the rest of their friends or even family members. The other benefit of sharing online is you can access them anywhere, anytime as long as you have an Internet connection.

For those who are not new to these, they might all have one common complaint-having to navigate to different site for respective photos and files upload. This is made especially hard if this is done in our Windows Phone.

I've never like doing this in Windows Phone until i stumbled in KeepandShare. A site with picture sharing service as well as file sharing. All can be done in the same site. My dream site with this kind of function would be:

Surprisingly to say that, KeepandShare fits perfectly into my criteria. Other than the gorgeous text narratives which allow us to use unlimited text and different font to describe the photos we uploaded, the other feature i like the most is the function which allows for visitors upload. This allows your friend and your visitors, with your permission of course, to contribute and upload directly into your album. This makes it seems not just a personal thing but strengthen the bond between the album owner and their visitors.

Obviously they didn't stop just right there. They have another service which is the free calendar creator. This section is particularly ideal for family or business planning. By creating a calender, you can add appointments in it and access it anywhere as long as you've got access to internet. What's the benefit of this calender compare to our Windows Phone? The calender you created can be accessed not only privately but also on a password-controlled access by your friends.

HTC Flashlight app, an app that lets you use your HD2 flash light like a torch light. It's a great app but it is just annoying having to watch an animated demo of the flashlight shifting through different mode during the startup of the app. If you prefer not to have the startup demo, thanks to NetRipper from xda, it is removed.

All you need to do is just replace the original.exe with the file in the zip. If it's cooked into the ROM, you may not be able to overwrite it. Just put it somewhere else and make a shortcut then.

GTX Sense 2.5 - a simple and clean manila theme

If you miss the nice clean look on the first versions of Manila which has been replaced with color icons, ElCondor from xda has decided to revert it back to its default looks. Inspired by HTC.com and the ZuneHD, the clean look of those interfaces is just excellent. This theme is for HTC Sense 2.5 and works with version 192x builds of Sense UI.

Currently it works only in VGA/WVGA screen resolution. This theme also available for 201x builds and WM 6.5.x. However you will have to be a bit patient as they are still working on it.

Ubuntu running in Windows Phone? Yes, it seems like sebbo90 from xda-developer has figured out how to do this on his Touch Pro2. In favor of Linux, Ubuntu is a oerating system that is perfect for laptops, desktops and servers. Now, it's ported to our Windows Phone!

Just in case you have no idea what Ubuntu is, check out the video below:

unzip the file to your root of your sd card and run haret.exe. If you are having stability issues with your phone in Ubuntu try using another zip-zImage which will be available in download section.

Flix-get detailed movie info in your WIndows Phone

Feeling like catching a movie in cinema today? Flix is a Cinema Listings application for Windows Phone. It allows you to check out cinema times and info in your Windows Phone. It is always nice to do so before queuing up to buy a ticket. As you may end up buying no ticket if it's peak hour.

Other than obtaining the info, it also has a really cool features such as sending the info you obtained via SMS and find the location of the cinema using GPS. Just in case you don't know how to go to the cinema, this app also equipped with Google Maps which will show you the direction how to get there. With Flix, you got to collect all information about the cinema of your choice and films that are showing. In your Windows Phone, you got to see the a full details with the film's poster, cast list and summary of the film.
